Let's be honest: you're the ride-or-dies. You're the people who show up, support independent journalism, champion The Film Maven, and make this little corner of the internet possible. I genuinely couldn't do this without you, and I never want you to think that support goes unnoticed.

As we head into the final stretch of the year, I want to make November a month of appreciation, community, and a few fun surprises. So here's what's happening!

## 🍿 **A FREE BOOK, JUST BECAUSE!**

I'd love to send you a digital copy of my award-nominated book, [*Popcorn Disabilities: The Highs and Lows of Disabled Representation*](https://link.amazon/B09ngaO0v?ref=thefilmmaven.com) (a $30 value), as a thank-you for being part of the Gold Star Crew.

However, I know you get a lot of emails from me if you'd like a copy, simply respond to this post and let me know, or email me at [**thefilmmaven8@gmail.com**](mailto:thefilmmaven8@gmail.com), and I'll get it delivered straight to your inbox!

## 🎁 **GIVE THE GIFT OF THE FILM MAVEN!**

One of the best ways to support independent journalism is to help it find new readers. And what better gift for the movie lover in your life than a Film Maven subscription?

You can gift subscriptions to friends, fellow film buffs, family members, or anyone who appreciates thoughtful conversations about movies, entertainment, and the industry. You're not just giving someone access to articles; you're inviting them into a community. You can send a subscription right now by click the link below:

And with Black Friday around the corner, there may be an especially good opportunity to gift a subscription at a discount. If you've been thinking about spreading the Film Maven love, keep an eye out for the upcoming deal!

## 🛍️ **BLACK FRIDAY IS COMING...**

I'll be unveiling my last, best, and FINAL deal of the year over Black Friday weekend. I'm keeping the details under wraps for now, but trust me, you'll want to be paying attention. It's running all Black Friday weekend, so there will be plenty of time to take advantage!

## 🎅 **OUR BIGGEST GOLD STAR CREW MIXER YET!**

Our next Gold Star Crew mixer is happening **November 13 at 4 p.m. PST**, and I'd really love for this to be our biggest gathering yet!

These mixers are one of my favorite parts of running The Film Maven. They're a chance to get away from the articles and headlines, talk movies, share recommendations, get to know one another, and just hang out with the people who make this community special.

I'd love to see as many of you there as possible. You've helped build this community, and I want to keep finding ways for us to connect beyond the written word.

And, of course, we're launching our first-ever Film Maven Secret Santa gift exchange which I'll be detailing more about at the mixer!

I'll be discussing how it works during our November 13 mixer, including how to participate and get matched with your own Secret Santa. It's a chance to bring a little holiday fun to our community and make those connections even more personal.

I hope you'll join us! You can RSVP using the QR code below or [at this link](https://form.jotform.com/thefilmmaven8/the-film-maven-pre-holiday-mixer?ref=thefilmmaven.com).

## **A FINAL THANK-YOU**

Seriously, thank you. Gold Star Crew members are the backbone of The Film Maven. Your support gives me the ability to keep doing this work independently, take chances on stories, have conversations that matter, and build something that isn't beholden to anyone but its readers.

You're not just subscribers. You're the people who make this possible.

Let's make November something special. I can't wait to see you at the mixer! ❤️
