Gore Verbinski and Cast Talk the Urgency of Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die: 'The World Is Screaming the Answer' [Video]
Zazie Beetz and Michael Pena also break down their own antipathy to AI
At the center of director Gore Verbinski's new sci-fi adventure Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die is the question of how AI makes us complacent, eats away our time, and keeps us trapped in a world of isolation wrapped up in a wild, anarchic landscape anchored by a fun performance from Sam Rockwell.
For Verbinski, returning to the director's chair after a ten-year hiatus, it was a matter of urgency. "If you're saying why now I think that the world is screaming the answer," Verbinski tells The Film Maven. "It just felt like a film that was urgent and that we needed to kind of burp it out as quickly as possible."
