This week we got our first view of Emerald Fennell's follow-up to her 2023 feature Saltburn, an adaptation of Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. The trailer, timed to Charlie XCX's new music had all the Fennell beats: fingers going into things, rampant horniness, and a slick sense of anarchy that permeated Saltburn. And, like Saltburn (and even her directorial debut, 2020's Promising Young Woman), people had opinions. Lots of em.
